Studies and researches in the area of governance in corporate sector are of course important and have been extensively pursued in our world class institutions but similar studies in the area of good governance in the public sector have not received any appreciable attention. Quality of governance in corporate sector is quantifiable in terms of profits while the situation is quite complex when we deal with governance in the public sector.
